INCLUSIVE EDUCATION - NEED OF THE DAY

December 3rd, is a day for celebrating the rights of persons with disabilities and to increase awareness of challenges faced by the people. Inclusive education plays an important factor in this present scenerio because we all have the right to education so the person with disability should also get same education as a normal child.

To create this awareness more prominent in this field of course, Inclusive classrooms have been set up so that the special abled students can also feel the equality like that of his or her peers. Of course another major factor is the Special Educators, who plays a vital role in this because they can only able to understand their feelings and help them to guide be it a Cerebral Palsy, Tourettes Syndrome, Visual Impairment- Tools are there to help them learn and earn in the future depending on the capability of the students. 

I would like to share one example with which we all can understand why there is a need for Inclusive Education. We all have visited Library right, we find different types of books from different genres, culture, religion under one roof; similarly Students with Disability can also study in same school keeping in mind the curriculum set for them compared to other children in school. The teaching methodology will be different but atleast they can sit in a classroom environment so that they can feel that they too have peers and other students should also try to help them instead of neglecting them. This awareness is extremely important to possess so that they can also live with peace, harmony and cooperation.

So , it is extremely important for a Teacher also to get an opportunity to know more about Special Education so that they can come up and help those children who are specially abled and can prove that they also have the equal rights as those of others.
